GardaLake Tour (8.00 hours)
(Rocca Manerba – Isola S.Biagio – Salò – Gardone – Gargnano – Limone – Malcesine – Torri del Benaco – Punta S.Vigilio)
Starting from Moniga aim with navigation north towards the "Rocca di Manerba", a natural park that has at its end a wall of rock overlooking the lake;
from here continue pointing north and passing by the largest island in the lake, 'Isola Borghese. This island, which is currently owned by the Cavazza family is still inhabited. There is no doubt that it was already inhabited in Roman times and boasts the presence of distinguished personalities from St. Francis of Assisi to Napoleon.
We continue - sailing around the islands (ATTENTION Reference passages prohibited!) - To reach the Gulf of Salò, where we can admire the water elegance and flair of this city of Roman origin.
Continue - always heading north - until you get to Gardone Riviera, a country immersed in lush greenery at the foot of Mount Pizzoccolo, and home to the Vittoriale by Gabriele D'Annunzio.
After the visit of Gardone Riviera coast along the western coast to the north, from Fasano, Maderno and arriving until Gargnano, characterized by its beautiful lemon - clearly visible from the lake.
Continue north to Limone. This town owes its name not to the ancient cultivation of lemons made terraces, but the Latin Limen (border), as it was right on the border between the Republic of Venice and the Austrian Empire. This village of a thousand people, has attracted the interest of numerous scientists for the unusual longevity of its inhabitants and for the unusually low rate of heart disease and arteries.
From here you cross the lake up to Malcesine with its imposing castle of the Scala family originally located directly on the Lake.
From Malcesine you along southbound towards Torri del Benaco, San Vigilio and back again at the western shore, keeping in navigation direction Rocca di Manerba and further south towards our starting point MONIGA DEL GARDA.
